Awake & Dreaming Design

Amanda makes jewellery that combines her interest in nature, art and design. With over twelve years of experience as a practicing visual artist, she holds a degree from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and an MFA from the University of California, Davis. She has studied and exhibited throughout Canada, U.S.A. and Europe. In addition to her art practice, Amanda is excited about shifting her attention to a smaller, more intimate scale; creating unique, visually interesting adornments for the body. Awake and Dreaming Designs often engage a sense of whimsy or humor, while remaining true to the artists’ life-long diversity of interests.

In all of her work, Amanda explores the nature of inspiration.
